University Matching

Build a shortlist around your qualifications, subject interests, budget and preferred intake. Compare the exact course and campus before choosing a university.

What to prepare and check

  • Prepare your latest certificates and transcripts, intended study level and preferred subject.
  • Compare entry requirements, teaching language, course structure, duration and awarding institution.
  • Plan a full first-year budget: tuition, accommodation, visa processing, insurance, deposits and daily costs.
  • Check programme accreditation and any professional recognition needed in the country where you plan to work.

A shortlist is a starting point. The university decides eligibility and admission.

Admission Application

Prepare a complete application for your chosen programme and intake. A clear document checklist helps you identify missing information before submission.

What to prepare and check

  • Confirm the course title, campus, application deadline and international entry requirements.
  • Prepare passport scans, certificates, transcripts, required English evidence and any certified translations.
  • Check whether your course needs a portfolio, interview, research proposal, references or experience.
  • Read offer conditions, tuition instalments, deposits and refund terms before accepting. Keep copies of submissions and receipts.

Only the university can issue an offer. An assessment does not guarantee admission or a scholarship.

Student Visa Guidance

Understand the Student Pass process alongside your university application. Follow the current checklist from your university, EMGS and Malaysian Immigration.

What to prepare and check

  • Start with the university offer and confirm who will submit the Student Pass application.
  • Check passport validity, photographs, academic records, health declaration and English evidence against the current EMGS checklist.
  • Track requests for corrections and approval. Obtain the eVAL before travelling; obtain a Single Entry Visa if your nationality requires it.
  • After arrival, follow your university instructions for medical screening and Student Pass endorsement. EMGS states that new students must complete medical screening within seven working days of arrival.

Approval and processing time depend on the authorities and your circumstances. Guidance does not guarantee a visa.

Accommodation Support

Compare university residences and suitable private housing for the campus where you will actually study. Availability and booking terms need to be confirmed with the provider.

What to prepare and check

  • Compare room type, shared facilities, commute, transport options and accessibility needs.
  • Request a written breakdown of rent, deposit, utilities, internet and any booking or service charges.
  • Read the tenancy period, cancellation terms, refund policy, check-in rules and inventory.
  • Confirm the provider, room availability and payment instructions before transferring money. Arrange temporary accommodation if your permanent room is not ready.

Housing prices and availability vary. A university offer does not automatically reserve accommodation.

Pre-departure Guidance

Plan travel only after the required approvals and university travel instructions are in place. Prepare for arrival, registration and your first weeks in Malaysia.

What to prepare and check

  • Confirm eVAL, any required entry visa and current arrival requirements with your university and official authorities.
  • Carry your passport, approval documents, offer letter, accommodation details and university contact information.
  • Confirm airport arrangements, check-in time, orientation dates and how to reach your campus.
  • Plan funds for initial expenses, insurance details, any prescribed medicines and the post-arrival medical screening. Keep secure copies of key documents.

Avoid relying on a generic travel checklist for immigration requirements; follow the instructions for your nationality and application.
